DESCRIPTION:30 Day Nutrition Challenge on Face Book \nThe department of Food Science and Nutrition gave a ‘30 day Nutrition Challenge’ throughout September 2020. The Nutrition students also posted the same through their Instagram accounts.  \n \nPoster Making and Blog Writing Competition on the theme “ Paudho se Poshan”. \n  \nNutrition lecture for PMC School Teachers\nThe department of Food Science & Nutrition organised an online lecture on September 19\, 2020 for teachers of municipal Schools in Pune on ‘ Good Nutrition: Need of the Hour’. The lecture was attended by more than 100 teachers. Smt. Ratnaprabha Nanaware \, Assistant Professor\, Dept. of FSN was the resource person for the same.   \n \nNational Webinar- “ Paudho se Poshan” . \nLink for the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhCLE6NGQG4 \nAs a part of Nutrition Month Celebration\, a National Webinar ‘Nutrition: Paudhon se Poshan’  was arranged by the Department of Food Science and Nutrition on 29th September 2020. Dr. K M Nagargoje\, IAS (R)\, State Consultant\, UNICEF\, Maharashtra \, Distinguished Guest\, Dr. R.V. Bhavani\, Director\, MSSRF\, Chennai\, Chief Guest and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SNDT Women’s University\, Prof. Shashkala Wanjari  Guest of Honour  inaugurated the webinar and guided the participants.  \n \nDr. V. S. Shirke Director\, Extension Education\, MCAER\, Pune delivered his talk on ‘Efforts of Nutrition Security of Farmer Families of Maharashtra’ and Ms. Pratibha Thombare\, Home Scientist\, KVK\, Kolhapur spoke on ‘Nutrition Garden for Urban and Rural Families’. Dr. Muktaja Vikas Mathkari\, Principal\, SNDT College of Home Science was the convener of the program \n                           More than 125 participants attended the Webinar   \n  \nDevelopment of Nutrition Garden\nThe Nutrition Garden is being developed by the college on ‘Ganga Maa Mandal Cropping System’ concept. This structure is made with a specific goal to acquire all the nutritional component from the plantations. These plantations are made as per the season.  \n \nThis Nutrition Garden was inaugurated on the 30th September 2020 at the hands of the retiring staff of the campus. Smt. Nanaware \, Dept. of FSN\, SNDT College of Home Science\, Pune\, Smt. Chanda Salunkhe\, Superintendent\, SNDT Women’s University\, Pune Campus and Smt. Rameshwari Chatole \, Pune Campus office.
