SUMMARY:National Nutrition Month
DESCRIPTION:National Nutrition Month \nNational Nutrition Month was celebrated throughout September 2023 in the community by students from SNDT College of Home Science Pune in collaboration with Tara Mobile Creches (TMC) and Nutrition Society of India Pune Chapter. Students from department of Food Science and Nutrition enthusiastically conducted ‘Nutrition education through play and entertainment’ in the day-care centres at construction sites in Pune adopted by TMC. 32 students from M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics participated in this activity. \n  \n  \n     \n  \n  \nOn 2nd September 2023\, ‘A Fun Nutrition Activity’ for pre-schoolers was organised in in association with Uprisers Preschool\, Ravet\, Pune. The children learnt about basics of Nutrition\, Hygiene and Health from the students of M Sc CND. \n   \n  \n

SUMMARY:DEEKSHARAMBHA (Induction Programme)
DESCRIPTION:The Deeksharambh was inaugurated on Monday\, 4th September 2023. This program was an orientation for F.Y. BSc. and F.Y M. Sc. students. Prof. Sachin Deore(Principal\, Addl. Charge)\, Dr. Vrushali Nagarale (Admission Committee In-charge)\, Mrs. Madhuri Ratnaparkhi (IQAC Coordinator) and admission committee members arranged the activities for the Deeksharambh program. The weeklong Deeksharambhprogram\, (from 4th September to 9th September 2023) included lectures and visits to the colleges in the SNDT Women’s University Campus\, Pune. \nProf. Sachin Deore (Principal\, Addl. Charge) briefed the audience about the University and the difference between SNDT Women’s University and other Universities. Dr. Vrushali Nagarale (Admission Committee In-charge) explained the importance and objectives of arranging various lectures and visits to the various institutes on the campus.  \nMs. Anuja Bhise briefed about NSS\, Ms. Tisha Oswal spoke about Sports and Ms. Himani Yakkundi shared her experiences of the cultural events and Annual gathering (Spectrum) program. Vote of thanks were proposed by Ms. Anushka Saharabuddhe. Dr. Lalieetaa Bbhagat compered the program. \nOn 4th September 2023\, visit to Karve Kutir and Department of Communication and Media Studies SNDT College of Arts and Commerce for Women. \nOn 5th and 6th September 2023\,Orientation at SNDT BMK Knowledge Resource Centre  \nOn 7th September 2023\, Major Kashifa Inamdar briefed about the NCC programs. \nOn 7th September 2023\, in the afternoon. Dr. Anamika Singh\, Director of JanakideviBajaj Institute of Management interacted with students \nOn 8th September 2023\, students were taken to the Medical camp in Tarapore Hall. \nOn the 9th September 2023 visit to the College of Education was arranged. \nThe Deeksharambh concluded on 9th September 2023. \n\n    \n
