SUMMARY:Vruksha-Bandhan Celebration Program
DESCRIPTION:On the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan SNDT College of Home Science Pune organized the Vruksh Bandhan activity on 12th August\, 2025. The Vruksha- bandhan activity was celebrated in an eco-friendly way by promoting love and care for nature. Instead of tying rakhis to people\, participants tied hand-made\, biodegradable rakhis to trees within the college campus. The symbolic gesture represented a promise to protect\, nurture\, and conserve trees as our ‘green siblings’.  \nThe event began with a short awareness talk on the importance of trees in combating climate change and maintaining ecological balance. NSS volunteers prepared rakhis from eco-friendly materials such as paper\, thread\, and natural colours. Students then tied these rakhis to various trees\, taking a pledge to safeguard them from harm and contribute towards a greener future.
