DESCRIPTION:Annual social gathering ‘Spectrum 2022’ was celebrated online on 11th and 12th February 2022\, using zoom platform as many outstation students have not joined the college due to Covid 19 pandemic. Various competitions like National Integration\, Dance\, Singing\, Elocution\, Poetry and Shloka recitation\, Photography\, Poster making\, Short Film Making\, Mimicry\, Monoact\, Competition were organized. \nA special program to pay tribute to Bharat Ratna- Lata Mangeshkar was organized by the students. The students performed few songs in the memory of late Smt. Lata Mangeshkar. \nPrize Distribution ceremony was also conducted online.

DESCRIPTION:A Virtual National Conference was organized on 9th February\, 2022. SNDT College of Home Science\, Pune organized a Virtual National Conference on 9th February\, 2022. The theme of the conference was “Rethinking Humanities: Harmonizing Humanities and Science”. Prof. Ujwala Chakradeo\, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor\, SNDT Women’s University was the Guest of Honour for the conference. Keynote address was delivered by Prof. Ami Upadhyay\, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor\, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University\, Gujarat. Prof. Bhushan Patwardhan (former Vice Chairman UGC\, National Research Professor – Ayush Interdisciplinary School of Health Sciences SPPU) was the speaker for the technical session. Dr Muktaja Vikas Mathkari\, Principal\, SNDT College of Home Science\, Pune was the Convener of the Conference. Dr Sonali Rode\, Joint Director Higher Education Mumbai Division\, Mumbai gave the Valedictory speech. \nTwenty four research papers were presented in the conference on a wide range of topics related to the theme of the Conference by participants from different states across India. A special Issue of Journal “Research Chronicler” (A Peer Reviewed\, Refereed and Indexed International Multidisciplinary Research Journal) was released virtually. \n

DESCRIPTION:Government of India celebrates January 25th every year as ‘National Voters’ Day’ to encourage the youth to actively participate in the election process\, exercise their voting rights and be responsible citizens. The Election Commission decided to launch a nationwide effort to identify all eligible voters completing 18 years of their age. On this occasion\, an online program was organized on 25th January 2022. Voter’s oath was given to the students during the program. Internationally placed alumni- Ms. Sunita Date (Tasmania)\, Ms. Sumedha Mulye (Auckland) and Ms. Tanvi Phadnis (Sydney) interacted with the final year B.Sc. and M.Sc. students. \nThe alumni guided the students regarding the problems and challenges faced in the path taken by them for higher education overseas. They narrated their success stories. Students participated in the webinar with lot of enthusiasm and were very curious about the procedure to be followed for applying to foreign Universities. The webinar was well received by the students.
