Aniruddha Deshpande\, retired Principal B.M.C.C. College of Commerce\, Pune. Dr. Ravindra Kulkarni\, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University graced the function by his presence. \nOn this occasion\, Prof. Deshpande stated that ‘Paying gratitude in the form of Krutadnyata is a part of our culture’. Dr Vishnu Magare was also felicitated as he would be taking the charge as Vice Chancellor of Pravara Medical\, Deemed University. Honorable Vice Chancellor\, Prof Shashikala Wanjari was felicitated with a ‘Krutadnyata Patra’ at the hands of Prof. Aniruddha Deshpande. \nHonorable Vice Chancellor\, Prof. Shashikala Wanjari in her speech stated that \n‘It is important to be socially committed and receive full support from the society while you are working at a higher position in any field’. \nDr. Muktaja Vikas Mathkari\, Principal SNDT College of Home Science\, Pune welcomed the guests. Comparing of the program and reading of ‘Krutadnyata Patra’ was done by Dr. Vivek Rankhambe. Dr. Ajay Bhamare; the Dean of Mumbai University\, and Shri. Rajeshji Pande and Shri. Prasenjit Fadnavis; Management Council members of Savitribai Phule Pune University were also present for the function. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Nalini Patil\, Principal SNDT College of Education\, Pune.

DESCRIPTION:“लाॅकडाउन मध्ये ऑनलाईन क्लासेस घेऊन त्याची पहिली कमाई ससूनच्या कोरोना रूग्णांच्या सेवेसाठी दान केली”  \nएस एन डी टी गृह विज्ञान महाविद्यालय पुणे\, येथे बी. एस्सी. प्रथम वर्षाच्या वर्गात शिकणाऱ्या सुरूची शंकर मुगावे या विद्यार्थिनीने कोरोना महामारी मुळे लाॅकडाउन काळात लहान मुलांसाठी फॅब्रिक पेंटींग आणि कॅलिग्राफी चे ऑनलाईन क्लासेस घेऊन यामधील पहिली कमाई पाच हजार एकशे एक रुपये दिनांक: २९/०५/२०२१ रोजी ससून रुग्णालयातील गरीब आणि गरजू रूग्णांसाठी दान केली. \nयावेळी ससून रुग्णालयाचे अधिष्ठाता डॉ मुरलीधर तांबे यांनी काॅलेज काॅन्सीलच्या बै. जी. शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयातील सर्व विभाग प्रमुख आणि प्राध्यापक यांच्या बैठकीत बोलताना सांगितले की\, “अशाप्रकारे सुरूची सारख्या तरूण – तरूणींनी कोरोना सारख्या महामारीत रुग्णालयात दाखल असलेल्या रूग्णांच्या सेवेसाठी लाॅकडाउनच्या काळातील स्वतःच्या वेळेचा सदुपयोग करून जी कमाई दान केली ही खूप कौतुकास्पद आणि प्रशंसनीय बाब आहे. इतर तरुणांनी सुरूची या तरूणीचा आदर्श घ्यावा\, ही काळाची गरज आहे. कु. सुरूची शंकर मुगावे हिची नोंद बै.जी. शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालय पुणे यांच्या वार्षिक मॅगझिन मध्ये आवर्जून घेण्यात येईल जे इतर तरूण – तरूणींना प्रेरीत करेल”.

SUMMARY:Spectrum 2021
DESCRIPTION:Annual social gathering ‘Spectrum 2021’ was celebrated online\, due to Covid 19 pandemic using zoom platform on 11th and 12th May 2021. Various activities and competitions were organized for the students who participated with great enthusiasm. \nFor performing arts activities\, students were instructed to video shoot their performance and mail the same on the given email address well advance of the program. Also\, for events like essay competition\, the documents were mailed by the students. \nOn the day of spectrum\, students and staff joined the zoom link in huge number as per the schedule given by the Youth Forum Committee. The recording of each participant was played on the screen for all the students and staff. For the competitions\, the prerecorded videos were shared with the judges who communicated the result to the staff member in charge of the event and the winners were announced at the end of the program on 12th May 2021. \nOverall\, it was a unique and exciting experience for the students and staff of the college.

Dr. Chandrakala Mannuru\, Academic Coordinator welcomed the audience and introduced the chief guest. IQAC Coordinator\, Dr. Rachna Vishwanathan presented the annual report of the college. \nPrincipal Dr. Muktaja Vikas Mathkari\, in her welcome address\, mentioned that the first graduation ceremony of the SNDT Women’s University was held in 1921 and the students of 2021 have witnessed the historic moment of the University. She added\, “Graduation is a process of responsibility. Loving whatever work\, one does\, the skill and consistency in it are the lifelong investment”. She congratulated all the students and conveyed best wishes for their future endeavours. \nThe Chief Guest\, Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Manikrao Salunkhe\, in his Graduation ceremony address\, asserted that the social utility of various courses offered by SNDT College of Home Science\, Pune and their role in women empowerment is certainly commendable. “The role of the College of Home Science is very important not only nationally but also internationally”\, he said\, referring to the recent UNO Millennium Development Goals. Speaking on the occasion\, students while choosing a career\, should recognize their inner voice and take the right approach to adapt to the changing situation.

Two Nutrition laboratories developed from financial support by Late Dr. Sulochana Patil and Mr. Umesh Walekar were also inaugurated by Honorable Dr. Neelamtai Gorhe. In her address\, he mentioned that the contribution of Home science students is not restricted only to India but has gone Global. She emphasized that Nutrition graduates from this college should contribute towards reducing the incidence of malnutrition and create awareness among the society regarding Nutrition and Health. \nIn her inaugural address Dr. Neelamtai Gorhe specifically mentioned that initiative taken by SNDT College of Home Science\, is commendable since SBDT does not only provide job opportunities but also creates skilled human resources and thereby contributes to the nation. \nPrincipal\, Dr. Muktaja Vikas Mathkari was the convener of the program.
