DESCRIPTION:A series of Creative Workshops were organised for the First Year students from 9th June to 10th July 2020. The workshops were conducted online in collaboration with Fevicryl\, Pidilite Industry and were free. \nThe themes of the workshops were:\n1. Madhubani\n2. Mandala Art\n3.Tie and Dye\n4. Glass Painting. \nThe students had the option to join any workshop. The response was very good and 70-90 students attended the workshops. This large number was divided in two groups. Each workshop was conducted separately for the both the groups.\nThe students are enjoying these workshops and are learning artistic skills online.

SUMMARY:Celebration of 105th Foundation Day
DESCRIPTION:Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University (SNDT WU)\, celebrated its foundation day on 5th July 2020. A program was organized on Pune campus by SNDT College of Home Science College\, Pune which was chaired by Principal Dr. Muktaja Vikas Mathakari. Prof. Vidya Deshpande\, the Management Committee member of Karve Shikshan Sanstha was the guest of honor. Tribute was paid to Bhartaratna Maharashi Dhondo Keshav Karve\, founder of the University. Vyas Pujan was also planned as it was Guru Pournima day. \nProfessor Deshpande stated that “The Vision of Maharshi Karve and the foresight of Sir Vithaldas Thackersey led to the establishment of the first Women’s University in India in 1916.” Dr. Mathakari\, in her address talked about the challenges and plans to overcome them. The students are practicing and sharing the photos on the email address that has been created for this activity. The students have been enjoying this activity.

DESCRIPTION:The Farewell party for the outgoing students of Third year BSc\, PG Diploma and MSc was unique. The world wide spread of COVID 19 cast its shadow on the event. The common get together and party was replaced by department wise small get together of outgoing students and staff members on Friday\, 13 March\, 2020. \nPrincipal\, Dr. Muktaja Vikas Mathkari visited each group and addressed the students.A mug with college emblem and motto printed on it was gifted to each student. It was a fun filled and memorable event in spite of the restrictions and precautions that were strictly followed.

DESCRIPTION:Science Day was celebrated in the memory of Physicist Dr .C.V Raman on February 28\, 2020. Students of UG\, PG\, teaching and nonteaching staff attended the program. The Resource person was Dr. Ajit Sathe ex professor of Microbiology from M. E. S. Garware College talked to the students about the role of microbiology in day to day life. Principal\, Dr. Muktaja Vikas Mathkari and Dr. Sathe awarded prizes to three students who listed maximum applications of Science in day to day life.
