DESCRIPTION:As a part of the International Project ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’\, 33 mothers from 8 countries of Southeast Asia were felicitated at the hands of the Deputy Mayor of Pune\, Mrs. Saraswati Shendge and social worker Mr. Rajabhau Shendge. The program was organised by Pune Campus of SNDT Women’s University. \n‘Mothers on Wheels’\, Four Indian women\, were on a road trip from Delhi to London\, with an aim was to understand motherhood in different countries. One item on their agenda to understand changing family structures around the world and the role of mothers in these households. This objective arose from their observations in Indian society about the changing mindset of new generations and the repercussions of that on experienced and new mothers. \n  \n  \n \n  \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:एसएनडीटी कॉलेज ऑफ होम सायन्स\, पुणे मध्ये वेगळ्या पद्धतीने आंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिन साजरा करण्यात आला .मानव व निसर्ग यांच्यातील नात्याचे बदलते स्वरूप ही संकल्पना आधारभूत धरून महाविद्यालयातील विद्यार्थीनीनी एक नृत्यनाटिका सादर केली. या साठी योगशिक्षक सौ प्रांजली फडणवीस यांनी विद्यार्थिनींना मार्गदर्शन केले .सर्व प्राध्यापक\, शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी व विद्यार्थिनी या कार्यक्रमास मोठ्या संख्येने हजर होत्या .यावेळी फडणवीस यांचे मार्गदर्शनपर भाषण झाले .आपल्या भाषणात त्यांनी योगातील पायाभूत संकल्पना विषद केल्या .अध्यक्षीय भाषणात प्राचार्य डॉ. मुक्ताजा विकास मठकरी यांनी आंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिनाच्या शुभेच्छा देत त्याबाबतच्या शैक्षणिक संस्थांच्या जबाबदारीवर प्रकाश टाकला. कार्यक्रमाचे सूत्रसंचालन डॉ. ललिता भगत यांनी केले व आभार प्रदर्शन श्री मदन कुडले यांनी केले. \n\nPM Narendra Modi proposed 21st June as the day of Yoga as it was the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere (shortest in the southern hemisphere)\, having special significance in many parts of the world. From the perspective of yoga\, the summer solstice marks the transition to Dakshinayana. The second full moon after summer solstice is known as Guru Poornima. Shiva\, the first yogi (Adi Yogi)\, is said to have begun imparting the knowledge of yoga to the rest of mankind on this day and became the first guru (Adi Guru). Dakshinayana is also considered a time when there is a natural support for those pursuing spiritual practices. \n\n
