On the occasion of National Science Day, a program was organized by Science Department on 28^th February 2023. The Chief guest for the program was Mr. Mahesh Saha and the guest speaker was Dr. Satish Naik, who delivered speech on “Role of Millets in Ancient Agriculture in India”. Through his speech, students gained knowledge regarding the Ancient millets and their benefits. 

On the same day an exhibition arranged. The students of first year enthusiastically participated in the same focusing on the experiments, which can be easily performed by using available house hold materials like oil, colour, baking soda, vinegar etc. One of the experiments, “Floating Lamp” was the centre of attraction. 

A Science quiz was organised in the format of written MCQ Pattern on 1^st March 2023. 58 students from various colleges on the Pune campus participated in the same. Three winners were declared: 

• 1^st prize – Prerana  Hajare,  SY B Com, SNDT College of Arts and Commerce, Pune

• 2^nd prize – Rutuja Chidrewar, SY. B Sc ND1, SNDT College of Home Science, Pune

• 3^rd prize- Anushka Sahasrabuddhe, SY B Sc ND2 SNDT College of Home Science, Pune
