The Department of Food Science and Nutrition of SNDT College of Home Science Pune had organized Health and Nutrition Assessment Camp for the teaching and non-teaching staff of the SNDTWU Pune campus on 19th December 2024.

The camp was Inaugurated at the hands of Mr. Vikas Desai Finance and Accounts officer of SNDTWU. Principal Dr. Ganesh Chavan welcomed and briefed everyone about this endeavour. The other dignitaries Dr. Vilas Nandawadekar Registrar SNDTWU, Prof. Nirgude Senate Member, Prof. Sheetal More Coordinator SNDTWU Pune Campus and Management Council Member, Dr. Nalini Patil Director CHETNA appreciated the students efforts and encouraged them to take up many more such activities in future too. The event was also attended by Heads of departments and institutes, teaching and non– teaching staff of various institutes of the campus.

The camp included measurement of height, weight, body fat, BMI, Blood pressure.

An activity called Know Your Tiffin was also conducted for the visitors. The visitors were treated with healthy carrot and pumpkin soup and ragi moongdal ladoos made by the students

Along with the camp students also had a small food exhibition where they had put healthy foods for sale, which were developed by them. The products were highly appreciated by all.

The camp was very well received and appreciated by everyone.
