SNDT College of Home Science, Pune celebrated the International Women’s Day on the 12th March 2024 in Tarapore Hall. The chief guest for the program was Dr. Chaitra Redkar , associate professor Humanities and Social Sciences, IISER Pune. The other dignitaries present for the program were Prof. Sachin Deore Principal (Addl. Charge) SNDT College of Home Science, Pune and Prof.. Subhash Patil, Head Post Graduate Studies and Research Department of Economics, SNDT Women’s University, Pune Campus. The program was attended by the students, principals, heads of the departments of the other institutions of the campus. The chief guest delivered her lecture on the theme to inspire inclusion and to celebrate diversity in all fields. She also included the importance of education in empowerment of women which aids in the overall development of society. The lecture was informative as evolution of Women’s Rights was also very well explained by the speaker. Prof.Subhash Patil proposed the vote of thanks for the program.
