World Breastfeeding Week was celebrated in the community by students from SNDT College of Home Science Pune in collaboration with Tara Mobile Creches (TMC) and Nutrition Society of India Pune Chapter. Students from Department of Food Science and Nutrition conducted interactive sessions on the ‘importance of breastfeeding’ and ‘complementary feeding for children in age group 6-12 months’ with lactating women. The sessions were conducted in the daycare centres at various construction sites in Pune adopted by TMC from 3rd to 7th August 2024. About 18 students from M.Sc. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics participated in this activity.
